SNAP agencies now pay 75% of administrative costs, and beginning in FY2028, states with payment error rates of 6% or higher will pay a share of benefit costs for the first time.</p><p style="color: rgb(51, 51, 51);">That means more notices, more verifications and more calls, with less federal money to handle them.
