Improving the customer experience can boost how federal employees experience their life at work. Public servants are generally motivated by their agency’s mission, and a good experience for customers is evidence that they are achieving it.
In this way, a better customer experience can drive an enhanced employee experience, creating a virtuous circle of good government. This connection between the federal employee experience and the customer experience is particularly important now, as the Biden administration and Congress are making historic investments in communities around the country through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, Inflation Reduction Act, and CHIPS and Science Act.
